Orbit Showtime Network gets new CEO

Dubai, October 3, 2010

Panther Media Group (PMG), the company operating Orbit Showtime Network (OSN), has appointed David Butorac as its new chief executive officer, with immediate effect.

An international television industry veteran, Butorac brings a wealth of experience to OSN gained over a 30 year career in some of the world's most successful broadcasting and multi-channel Television companies.

His career to date has included the positions of head of operations and station manager at BSkyB, the UK's largest media company, group chief operating officer at Astro, Malaysia's largest broadcasting and cross-media company, as well as president at the News Corporation's Star TV in Hong Kong. Most recently, Butorac was managing director of WIN Corporation, Australia's largest regional cross-media company.

'We feel OSN is now uniquely poised to experience substantial growth and we are delighted that David is bringing his global experience to lead our company into its next phase,' stated Faisal Al Ayyar chairman of the board at PMG.

At the same time OSN announced that its CEO, Marc-Antoine d’Halluin, stepped down from his role at the end of September.-TradeArabia News Service
