Firms ‘signing up for The Bride Show 2011’

Abu Dhabi, September 22, 2010

Businesses from around the region are now signing up to take part in the 10th edition of The Bride Show Abu Dhabi to be held in February 2011, said the organisers.

Running from February 2 to 5, 2011, the bridal extravaganza at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre will feature haute couture fashion – bridal gowns, evening wear and embellished abayas – make-up and beauty ideas, diamonds and fine jewellery as well as honeymoon options and flower arrangements.

The four day wedding event earlier this year saw visitor numbers swell by 18 per cent as the largely female crowd planned large scale family wedding celebrations, a statement said.

Organisers are predicting a further increase in visitor numbers for 2011 as the economy starts to recover.

Already, a number of well known brands have signed up to take part in The Bride Show Abu Dhabi and organisers are advising prospective businesses to act now in order to secure a prime position in the exhibition hall.

Dresses and designs from Sposa by Shiva Taba, Ozugal, Kubra Al Qaseer and Zahra, who dressed Paris Hilton during her recent visit to the UAE can all be seen on the catwalk and up close at their exhibition stands.

La Sirene, a Lebanese salon and spa will be using the event to launch their new Jumeirah Beach Residence salon, the first in the UAE.  And new to the event in 2011 is Sprüngli Middle East, Switzerland’s oldest chocolatier and creator of the finest premium hand-made chocolates in the world.

“Our research shows that visitors to The Bride Show Abu Dhabi tend to spend high volumes of money, most paying up front and in cash,” said Lucy Clarke, exhibition director for The Bride Show.

“Many of our exhibitors use The Bride Show as their annual marketing activity because they know it is one of the most effective ways to get their brands in front of thousands of women who are ready to spend money on weddings.”

“We find it reassuring to see small companies, many of which have been set up by female entrepreneurs, as well as big brands do so well on the exhibition floor as they interact with new and loyal customers alike,” she added. – TradeArabia News Service
