V&B launches new dishware range
Dubai, August 5, 2010
Germany-based top ceramics manufacturer Villeroy & Boch has created a new set of dishware that fuses the versatility of shapes with aesthetics and a harmony of curves and contours.
Modern Grace is Villeroy & Boch’s modernist collection in which the focus is on the design.
Crafted from thin premium bone porcelain, the highly-refined porcelain conveys a superlative sheen and a floating lightness that lives from the dynamic interplay of such geometric shapes as squares, rectangles, ellipses, circles and cylinders, V&B said in a statement.
The decorated version, Modern Grace Grey, reflects the spirit of the late sixties, and is inspired by geometric structures and art deco patterns.
The colour concept ranges from cool metallic tones on white porcelain to a solid-colour world with matt-sheen effects as a “tone-on-tone” composition. Each piece in the set showcases individualised décor.
A long-stemmed shape with classic chalices has been selected to depict the style of the ‘filigree’ Modern Grace stem-ware, and brings a new facet to the entire collection.
This set of glassware highlights the "bling" accents of the design, and refers to the reflection of the gemstone polish under light. The effect is ‘cool chic’ fused with understated values as a symbolic expression of modernity and luxury, the statement said. – TradeArabia News Service
