Jotun to raise powder coating prices
Dubai, June 9, 2010
Jotun Powder Coatings, a leading producer of powder coatings, will raise the prices of all its powder coating products, which it distributes to Europe, Middle East and Asia, due to global escalation of raw materials prices.
The manufacturer revealed that the increase will vary for each product depending on their technology base, but will affect all of its product categories – epoxy based products; polyester based products; hybrid based products; and polyurethane-based products, sold to the decorative and functional market segments.
In recent months Jotun Powder Coatings has seen an average raw material price increase of up to 25 per cent, it said.
Steep increases have been registered in all main categories of raw materials, including polyester, polyurethane and epoxy resins, and titanium dioxide. In particular, the prices of the epoxy resins have recorded the highest rise, it added.
“Though the market circumstances have forced us to make these changes in prices, our customers can be assured of Jotun Powder Coatings’ continuous commitment to quality, excellence and use of the latest technology to manufacture our range of high quality powder coatings,” said Claudio Iurilli, divisional marketing director at Jotun Powder Coatings. – TradeArabia News Service
