The British Business Group (BBG) for Dubai and Northern Emirates has been voted the world’s best British business club in the 2010 Best of British awards organised by the Telegraph Group in the UK.

“Since its inception, the BBG has worked hard to provide its members with world-class services and create synergy with the local business community,” stated Hamad M Buamim, director general of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce & Industry.

“This award recognises the considerable efforts of the BBG to create opportunity, to help foster new business and to forge strong working partnerships with our Emirati colleagues,” added chairman and chief executive of the BBG, Mark Beer.

The BBG is one of the largest and oldest business groups in the Gulf region with a growing list of more than 1500 member companies and an increasingly busy calendar of activity.
