The Ikea store at Dubai Festival City will host weeky demos when the store’s in-house interior designers will advise on pocket-friendly ways to change the look of rooms in under-30 minutes using a choice of textiles.

This is the first time such an activity is being conducted by Ikea and only at the Dubai Festival City store. 

Ikea has some amazing choices right now in terms of colour, variation and pattern and these are what will be demonstrated every afternoon from 2pm to 2.30pm Mondays to Thursdays every week for six weeks beginning April 29, said a spokesperson.

The design schedule is as follows: week one – living room; week two – dining room; week three – bedroom; week four – living room; week five – bedroom; week six - living room.

The Ikea store will also be offering a reduced stitching service charge – up to 50 per cent – on stitching services for Ikea textiles. Also, the stitching time will be reduced from 4 days to 2 days.

The store has also lined up a Kids Fabric Day activity on Fridays and Saturdays from 2pm to 6pm. Small pieces of colourful fabric will be given to children who will glue the fabric samples on other plain fabric samples to create a pattern. They will also be given crayon and paint to draw on the fabric.

Importantly, the children creations will be framed and gifted to the children by the store.-TradeArabia News Service
