Orbit Showtime Network (OSN) is launching six new HD channels from May 1, including Sundance Channel HD, Outdoor Channel HD, Food Network HD, Fashion TV HD, Fox Sports HD and Showsports 1 HD.

The new OSN - Orbit Showtime HD range of satellite receivers unlocks the power of HD through HD connectivity and Dolby digital sound,  whilst offering subscribers the best user interface, an 8 day electronic TV Guide, parental control and the option to switch subtitling on and off, said a spokesperson.

“HD is the biggest development to happen in TV in the last 15 years. Today, less than ten months since Orbit and Showtime merged, we are very proud to be the first network to offer subscribers a line-up of 9 exclusive HD channels from world-renowned brands,” said Marc-Antoine d’Halluin, chief executive of OSN - Orbit Showtime Network.
