Two of the region's leading horticultural exhibitions - International Plants Expo Middle East (IPM Dubai 2010) and World of Perishables (WOP Dubai 2010) - opened at the Airport Expo Dubai on Monday.

Hussain Nasser Lootah, director general of Dubai Municipality inaugurated the twin expos in the presence of Khalifa Abdulla Hareb, director of Properties Department at Dubai Municipality.

IPM Dubai 2010 is a leading regional platform for plants and flowers, while WOP Dubai 2010 is the region's only dedicated trade fair for fruits and vegetables.

The twin expos are being organised by planetfair Dubai and Messe Essen GmbH, Germany in co-operation with Dubai Municipality and Dubai Central Fruit and Vegetable Market, Dubai Airports, Dubai Flower Centre, Dubai Municipality-Public Parks and Horticulture and the Ministry of Environment & Water.

More than 245 exhibitors from 38 countries will be showcasing a wide range of innovative products and services at the twin expos.-TradeArabia News Service
