The UAE Ministry of Social Affairs has launched the 'Emirates Social Award' which which recognises outstanding contribution in the areas of social welfare and development, for which nominations are now open.

The award includes various categories such as rehabilitation, training and employment, minor care, orphans, children with unknown parentage, abused children, people with special needs, elderly, widows and divorced with limited income.

The UAE is focusing on sustainable development for the advancement of the society to the best international standards, and seeking to set an example for its citizens in fulfillment of the ministry's achievements, said a statement.

The Ministry will start receiving applications for participation until February 21.-TradeArabia News Service
