Dubai, December 24, 2009

The Community Development Authority (CDA) in Dubai has signed a MoU with Dubai Statistics Center (DSC), to strengthen co-operation and exchange data and statistical evaluations.

The MoU is part of joint efforts to strengthen community development in Dubai through the use of proper statistics that gives a thorough overview of the various aspects of the society.

As per the agreement, DSC will provide CDA with all the technical support in issuing reports, research and statistical information. This will assist CDA in implementing its strategy aimed at driving Dubai’s community development.

The MoU was signed by Khalid Al Kamda, director general of the CDA, and Arif Obeid Al Muhairi, executive director of the Dubai Statistics Center, at a special ceremony held, recently, at CDA’s headquarters.

Al Kamda said the MoU aims at strengthening partnership with Dubai Statistics Centre, the official organisation mandated with identifying social trends using scientific statistical tools.

'The collaboration is in line with the directives of  Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice-President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai to strengthen coordination among government organizations to drive greater efficiency of operations,' he added.

“DSC places high importance on identifying and providing statistical indicators of the society.  CDA works towards community development and our agreement will provide them with timely and adequate data that will help formulate the right strategies.”-TradeArabia News Service
