Abu Dhabi okays new research centre for police

The Abu Dhabi executive council has approved the establishment of a security research and studies centre, aimed at supporting police operations that enhance the efficiency of Abu Dhabi Police.
The executive committee was chaired by Sheikh Hamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, chairman of the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince's Court.
The committee also approved the extension of a 220KV station for Abu Dhabi Water and Electricity Authority, to meet the increasing demands of the new Emirates Iron and Steel Factory.
In addition, the committee approved new facilities and security of buildings for the Department of Municipal Affairs, as well as additional costs for transporting electrical cables.
The committee also approved the formation of the Abu Dhabi Council of Quality and Compliance, and setting up a unit for investment projects and opportunities.
The executive committee also discussed a number of important topics and memoranda presented by the emirate's government departments listed on its agenda and related to the implementation of plans and projects. – TradeArabia News Service
