Oman Air appoints Munich firm to manage PR

Oman Air, national carrier of Oman, has appointed Munich-based C.O.M.B.O Communications to handle its public relations activities in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

The airline has also appointed PR agencies in France and UK.

“We are happy to work together with C.O.M.B.O Communications in Germany, as the team has decades of know-how and experience PR and Media relations for national and international airlines,” said Peter Hill, chief executive officer of Oman Air.

Yvonne Molek, managing director of C.O.M.B.O Communications: “We are very proud to be in charge of the PR activities for Oman Air in German-speaking Europe.”

“Oman Air has enormous expansion plans and one of our targets is to position Oman Air as premium brand in Germany,” Molek added.

New flight connections from Germany to the Orient. Oman Air operates the first non-stop flights from Germany to Oman.

Starting in September, Oman Air will fly from Muscat to Frankfurt non-stop four times a week, while in October, Oman Air will offer three weekly flights between Munich and Muscat.

Oman Air also has major international expansion plans. Starting in October 2009, it is launching new routes from Muscat to Paris, to Maldives and to Colombo. – TradeArabia News Service
