Amman, July 12, 2009
Samsung, a leader in consumer electronics and advanced digital technology, has signed up Action Public Relations to devise a unique public relations and communications strategy for the company.
Under the mutual co-operation agreement, Action will handle Samsung’s public relations activities in all Levant countries, which include Jordan, Lebanon, Syria and Iraq. It will help boost local and regional awareness to Samsung’s brand and products and strengthen the brand’s overall presence.
Commenting on the partnership, Samsung Electronics Levant president Sunny Hwang said: 'At Samsung, we appreciate the importance of public relations in delivering the correct image and messages associated with a given brand, particularly for larger corporations with broad investments.'
'Hence, one of our top priorities upon launching our regional Levant office was to appoint a high ranking public relations agency to handle our PR and communication responsibilities in the region,' he explained.
'We chose Action Public Relations as it is one of the foremost PR agencies in the region with an excellent track record, not to mention a team of specialists who have proven to be the cream of the crop in their field.'
'They have daunting tasks ahead, particularly that they will oversee our PR activities in several countries, but we are certain that they will meet the responsibility head-on.'
Action regional manager Bashir Mraish said, 'Samsung is playing a distinctive role in developing the technology scene in the region, which is why our team will dedicate all efforts to placing a detailed business plan to realize Samsung’s vision for the region and to penetrate its various markets.'
'We hope this will be the start of a long and prosperous partnership,' he added.-TradeArabia News Service
