iCrete in clean technology partnership
Dubai, June 8, 2009
A leading concrete technology company iCrete has signed a clean-technology partnership and licensing agreement with Titan America to offer environment-friendly concrete for infrastructure projects in the Gulf region.
Titan America’s Florida Business Unit will offer the use of iCrete high-performance concrete mixes and optimization systems from a location at its Buena Vista operation, said a company official.
The companies will initially focus on federal and local infrastructure projects that require stronger, safer, more durable and more sustainable materials with a smaller carbon footprint.
Founded in 2006, iCrete offers advanced technology and processes to optimize concrete design and production for efficiency, workability and strength – while dramatically lowering greenhouse gas emissions produced by the final product.
Tom Schneider, iCrete president and chief operating officer, said: "The iCrete system is fast-gaining acceptance across the world, with the Middle East being one of our key markets."
"Our new partnership with Titan will now provide architects and engineers with bold new long-life options in concrete mixes that perform better than ever, but are environmentally sound and cost efficient," he noted.
The iCrete System, a mix design and quality solution for concrete producers, is transforming the way ready mixed and precast concrete is designed, produced and used worldwide.
iCrete’s advanced mixes produce a better-performing, more economical and environmentally-friendly concrete. It maximizes concrete design and production for quality, high strength, workability and durability.
Offering strong potential for supporting sustainable development initiatives in the Middle East region, iCrete has an exclusive licensing agreement with Unibeton Ready Mix, the Gulf’s leading concrete producer, to employ the iCrete clean technology system in all the 22 Unibeton plants in the region.-TradeArabia News Service
