Javna wins top mobile ad awards

Amman, May 26, 2009

Javna, a leading company for mobile solutions and wireless applications in the Middle East region, has won two awards at the 2009 international Mobile Advertising and Marketing Awards (MAMA) event in London.

The first award was for best integrated and cross platform strategy utilizing mobile marketing, and the second was for best ad enabled mobile platform.

'We are thrilled to receive such a global recognition for the efforts exerted by our team over the past two years. We are equally proud of the achievements we have made in the field of mobile-based marketing, which has developed into an industry reference for this new field,' said Jana CEO Mansour Mansour after receiving the awards.

'Winning this contest was not easy. It was not an easy task to snatch awards at an event that included some of the top international rivals in the wireless marketing industry,' said a delighted Mansour.

'This particular fact has made the awards even more special compared to previous achievements, especially that we feel that we've taken Jordan's software industry global reach to a new level,' he noted.

Javna had launched its MobiAd platform, its first ad application to allow users to make money via their mobile phones, a few months ago.

MobiAd is a new technology developed by Javna to revolutionize the mobile marketing industry.

Javna's business development director, Sammy Tuffaha, commended the efforts exerted by Javna’s team to develop the mobile technology and enhance the advertising and marketing industry.

Tuffaha pointed out that Javna was the only organisation from the Middle East region to participate and win in the international competition.

He said MobiAd would bring about radical changes in the concept of commercial advertising, especially since the innovative platform utilizes interactive solutions that allow advertisers to diversify the delivery of their ads, starting with SMS, MMS, and WAP banners and ending with images, pop-ups, and animated ads that appear whenever the  mobile handset is being used.

These marketing campaigns can be programmed to appear at a certain date and time, and for specific profiles, he noted.

In return, subscribers can be rewarded many ways, said Tuffaha, such as free minutes and SMS messages, free loyalty programs points, or even prizes won through regular drawings for the ads recipients, he added.

Tuffaha said Javna was currently launching its wireless applications in several countries in the region via partnerships with leading wireless providers, telecom companies, and ad agencies, while at the same time seeking to penetrate new European markets before the end of 2009.

To ensure effective campaign results, advertisers can specify the exact segmentation of the target market including age, gender, location and other attributes that optimizes the campaign focus, let alone the detailed real time reports that help advertisers evaluate the campaign throughout its various phases.

Tuffaha said these features constitute a detour from conventional marketing methods that lack both the precision and the ability to evaluate and tweak the campaign while its running.-TradeArabia News Service
