Dubai, March 24, 2009
Sarai, a unique restaurant sensation featuring Middle Eastern cuisine has now opened at Jumeirah Beach Residence, setting new standards in Middle Eastern dining in the emirates.
The opening of the restaurant marks the successful foray of MH Alshaya Company, a leading retailer in the region, into the casual dining industry, said an official.
“One reason for the tremendously positive resonance of Sarai is certainly the exquisite menu selection and high quality of all-natural ingredients strictly casting out the use of preservatives and additives,” said Nader Hallal, marketing manager of Alshaya Casual Dining.
Sarai Restaurant presents one of the finest cuisines in the world merging the culinary traditions of East and West and visitors get the stylish and lavish feel of ‘Old Arabia’ at the restaurant, he noted.
The menu reflects the rich history and traditions of the Middle East brought into the region by traders and travellers for centuries, creating a colourful collage of Middle Eastern cuisine.
The restaurant takes pride in its menu that features carefully handpicked dishes to treat diners to a higher standard of Arabian cuisine, Hallal observed.
"We believe in offering our customers only the finest in food and a truly warm and welcoming ambience resembling Middle Eastern culinary tradition at its best. That’s the recipe of Sarai’s success in the region,” he added.
Customers can choose from a wide variety of delicacies, such as a rich selection of starters and mezze, including fresh salads and tempting hot and cold appetizers such as Yalangi, stuffed mini vine leaves with rice and oriental spices and Tochka, grilled Arabic bread stuffed with spread of kebab and cheese delicately seasoned with garlic, parsley and paprika.
Flavourful specialities form the main course featuring authentic regional chicken and meat savouries prepared with premium quality ingredients, he noted.
Amidst poetry and pottery, guests are taken back to the Arab heritage of welcome and hospitality. Wooden decorations, detailed antiques and intricately art work give the restaurant a character of its own portraying ancient Arabian flair.
The elaborate chandelier light complemented by sophisticated ceramic tiles and refined age-old Arabic inscription designs underlines the warm atmosphere.
