Dnata, DNRD join to offer visa services

Dubai, March 15, 2009

Dnata and the Dubai Naturalisation and Residency Department (DNRD) have signed a partnership to offer quick, easy and hassle-free visa services.

This partnership will ensure that all visa services currently only available through the DNRD, will also be offered in the comfort and ease of Dnata’s spacious and airy Sheikh Zayed Road premises, said a statement.

Abdulla Tawakul, senior vice president, regional and corporate travel, Dnata Travel Services,  said: “We are delighted to be able to work in partnership with the DNRD to offer these services in Dubai. The visa process can be a daunting and lengthy one and Dnata and the DNRD have worked hard together to find a way of making the system easier, quicker and more convenient. I am confident people coming to Dnata for their visa needs will find this a much more accessible and improved system.”

Major General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, director of DNRD, said: “The Department of Naturalization and Residency is keen to provide a broad range of services through its main office and external centres that ease pressure on DNRD main centres and reduce waiting time for customers. We are pleased to sign this agreement with Dnata for the opening of this centre which is the latest in a list of external centres designed to increase efficiency, speed and accuracy ensuring the highest standards of customer service”.

The Dnata Travel Centre on Sheikh Zayed Road offers customers easy parking, plenty of seating, a coffee shop in which to relax while waiting for visa and spacious, light, air-conditioned surroundings.

"The process is simple. Take a coupon for the typing centre, submit your form and the required documents, take a seat in the waiting area until your documents are ready, then submit the documents to immigration services and wait for your visa. You will be called when your visa is ready, which, if all your documentation is in order, is guaranteed to be within the hour if you request for and pay the Dh100 extra for the Urgent Visa service. The normal service will take three to four working days," said the statement.

Dnata is able to make the process faster because the typing centre and immigration services are located together, which ensures quick and easy transfer of documents between the two and the convenience of having every step of the process on hand, it said.

The visa services available at the Dnata Travel Centre are: Multiple Entry; Long Term Visit; Short Term Visit; Education Visas; o Medical Treatment Visas; Exhibition Visas; Festival Visas; Conference Visas; 33 countries extension; Tourist visas; Long term complimentary; Embassy Visas; GCC accompany visas; GCC resident visas; Short-term complimentary and 96-hour visas.- TradeArabia News Service
