Al Islami Foods, along with the International Halal Integrity Alliance, will host the Global Halal Standards Convention at Gulfood 2009.

During the convention, industry players and stakeholders will foster discussions on areas of Halal food service, hospitality and food processing, to work on a roadmap for a common global halal standard.

The Global Halal Standard convention will become the common guideline which will propel the development of halal industry to meet the challenge of globalisation. Leading the initiative, the United Arab Emirates is one of the major key players to ensure that one voice will represent the Halal standard globally.

The International Halal Integrity Alliance (IHI Alliance) is a Malaysia based international not-for-profit organization created to uphold the integrity of the halal market concept in global trade through certification, collaboration and membership.-TradeArabia News Service
