Harnish to speak at Bahrain event

Manama, February 19, 2009

Entrepreneurs’ Organization’s (EO) Bahrain Chapter will host a lecture by well-known speaker Verne Harnish next month.

Harnish will talk on his best selling book “The Rockefeller Habits” on March 7 and the event is open for EO members, sponsors and members’ guests.

Harnish, the founder of two world-renowned entrepreneurship organizations - the Young Entrepreneurs' Organization (YEO) and the Association of Collegiate Entrepreneurs (ACE) - is presently the founder and CEO of Gazelles, which serves as an outsourced corporate university for mid-size firms and hosts a faculty of well-known business experts.

Given his expertise in the field of entrepreneurship, he has appeared on several national television and radio programs including Smart Money, CBS News and Nation's Business Today.

The talk by Harnish follows a recent presentation by Anthony Mallis, the CEO of Securities and Investment Company (SICO), on the ‘Financial Crisis and Its Regional Implications on the GCC’.

The presentation focused on the impact of the crisis on the entrepreneurial community in Bahrain and suggested ways to survive the crisis from an entrepreneur’s point of view.

“The presentation enabled our members to view the current economic crisis in a new light, and has provided us with a clearer vision on Bahrain’s development,” said Bassim AlSaie, EO Bahrain learning chair.

EO was founded 20 years ago by young entrepreneurs and is now 6,600 members strong with more than 108 chapters in 38 countries.  The members come from all walks of life and run companies of every type and size.  –TradeArabia News Service
