The board of directors of Mohammed Bin Rashid Housing Establishment (MBRHE) has approved the list of the nationals entitled for house allocation in Al Mizhar 1 area adjacent to the old Mushref Shaabeyya in Dubai.

The allocation was made under the direction of Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE vice president and prime minister and Dubai ruler, and in execution of the instructions of Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid, Dubai crown prince.

A board meeting, held under the chairmanship of Mohammed Al Shaibani, approved the allocation of 80 houses at the cost of an Dh580 million ($158 million).

The houses were allotted to the registered nationals meeting the terms and conditions of the Establishment and who have been offered loans.

Sami Gargash, deputy managing director of MBRHE, expressed his deep gratitude to Sheikh Mohammed for 'this noble trait that comes in the context of the care he gives to the UAE nationals and his keenness to provide them with the appropriate houses that ensure stability for their families.'

Mohammed Bu Rahima, assistant executive director for housing at MBRHE, said the cost of the approved houses was estimated at Dh580 million, Dh1 million for each house.

'The houses will be handed over soon in line with our leadership interest to solve the housing problems that face some citizens, and this will have huge impacts in ensuring stability of the national families.'

He said the new two-storey houses consist of a majlis, a living room and 5 bedrooms, in addition to an extension compromising a kitchen, a store and a maid's room.

'The new houses have been constructed to meet the needs of the national families in regard to large areas and architectural design with the aim of offering them stability.'

'The surrounding area has also been provided with all infrastructure requirements such as roads, water and electricity and sewerage services for the inhabitants' convenience,' Bu Rahima noted.

'Priority in allocating the houses was given to the eligible applicants of the Old Mushif Shaabeyya which was built in the 1970s in coordination with the concerned person in charge who was appointed by the ruler,' he added.-TradeArabia News Service
