Planters wins BALI Landscape award

Dubai, January 8, 2009

Interior Landscape contractors Planters Horticulture of Dubai has won a award in the international award for contracts undertaken outside the UK category at The British Association of Landscape Industries (BALI) National Landscape Awards 2008.

The award is for the Dubai Airport Zen Gardens. The garden was designed by Phillip Cave of Phillip Cave Associates, London.

Planters also walked away with a second award this year in the Interior Landscaping - Maintenance Category for their maintenance of BurJuman Mall in Dubai; beating off both international and British competitors.

Planters were recognised for the painstaking work carried out in order to keep the exotic trees housed within the Mall in good condition.

The award ceremony was held at the luxury five-star Grosvenor House Hotel, London.

The BALI National Landscape Awards are held annually to pay tribute to British Association of Landscape Industries (BALI) members who have demonstrated exceptionally high standards of professionalism and skill in the execution of landscaped schemes.

The Dubai airport project was highly commended on its use of quality materials and client satisfaction.

“Every year we come up against such strong competition, the fact that we have now won this award for the sixth year in a row just goes to show the exceptional work and consistent high standards that every member of staff at Planters works so hard to achieve,” said Planters director and general manager Jonathan Pardoe.

Planters continue to have many high-profile projects underway in the region including the Dubai Mall, Atlantis Hotel, Emirates Airline Headquarters and the Shangri-La Abu Dhabi, and are confident that their dedication to their work will earn them many more awards in the future. – TradeArabia News Service
