Jeel rolls out new 'Counter-Strike'

Jeel, a leading Saudi ISP provider, announced that it has made the World’s popular game Counter-Strike available to its subscribers.

The company's high-speed gaming servers now carry the Counter-Strike 1.6 version.

Counter Strike is played in almost 250 countries of the world by an estimated 400 million people every day and has dedicated tournaments conducted internationally between global teams.

Jeel also plans to host a mega Counter Strike tournament between rival teams in the Kingdom and other regional countries soon. The game is a modification of the multi-awarded Half-Life science fiction FPS video game and was introduced in 1999.

Counter-Strike's gaming influence can be found in modifications for games such as Quake III Arena, Unreal Tournament, and other single shooter games such as Global Operations, America's Army, Call of Duty, and True Combat Elite.

“As one of the most popular video games in the world, this tactical shooter offers a lot of entertainment as well as the chance to interact with members of the global gaming community,” said Rashid Al Ballaa, group general manager NTG/Jeel.
