His Majesty King Hamad's call advocating a national consensus to pass the law on a family code was hailed on Bahrain National Day on Tuesday.

"Your directives reflect your firm resolve to ensure Bahraini families' constitutional rights to stability and harmony," Shaikha Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, wife of His Majesty and Supreme Council for Women chairperson, said.

She expressed full support for the King's efforts to ensure Bahraini families' decent living standards. She hailed the efforts of the government, National Assembly and judiciary to promote women's presence in the national modernisation march.

Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander Shaikh Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa was also paid credit.-TradeArabia News Service
