Bafco completes Terminal 3 fit-out contract

Dubai, October 28, 2008

Bafco, an office interiors and furniture supplier, has completed the fit-out of office interiors at the new Emirates Terminal 3 at Dubai International Airport.

The terminal now houses 2,200 workstations supplied by Bafco plus public area sofas and executive desks.

The company sourced office furnishings globally from Italy, Spain and Korea ahead of the 60-day deadline set by Dubai Airports.

The contract is estimated to be worth Dh11 million ($2.98 million).

Bafco was awarded the Dubai Airports project in December 2007, with specifications finalised in January 2008 and delivery completed by March this year. For its timely delivery Dubai Airports officials presented the company with Supplier of the Year Award 2008.

'The specifications provided to us were very comprehensive, stressing quality and design in all aspects. The delivery time was also tight, but we managed to custom-make the furniture, source manufacturers and suppliers and coordinate international deliveries from Europe and the Far East,' stated sales and design manager at Bafco, Ahmed Syeeduddin.

'What makes this award particularly special is the fact that it recognised the levels of quality and customer service that we applied to this challenging and demanding project,' he added.-TradeArabia News Service
