French chef Guy Savoy will open a signature restaurant at The Hotel in The Tiger Woods Dubai, the exclusive 55-million sq feet golf community development.
The Tiger Woods Dubai is a member of Tatweer.
Marking Guy Savoy's debut in the Middle East, the restaurant is projected as a key component of the Dh600 million ($163.3 million) The Hotel.
Offering breathtaking views of the Al Ruwaya golf course, the first to be designed by the golf legend Tiger Woods, The Hotel is scheduled for completion in Q4 2010 and will feature the acclaimed aesthetics of Lebanese designer Elie Saab in its interiors.
Guy Savoy is the head chef and owner of the eponymous Guy Savoy restaurant in Paris and sister restaurant in Las Vegas.
The Paris restaurant, which has consistently garnered three Michelin stars every year since 2002, is ranked amongst the top 50 restaurants in the world.
Abdulla Al Gurg, project director, The Tiger Woods Dubai, said: "We are privileged to host Guy Savoy's first signature restaurant in the region at this exclusive golf community.
"One of France's most revered and award-winning chefs, Guy Savoy will bring to the Middle East his incomparable legacy for creating unique and unforgettable dining experiences."
Al Gurg added: "In addition to Tiger Woods himself and Elie Saab, Guy Savoy is the third international talent participating in translating the vision of The Tiger Woods Dubai.
"This bears testament to Tatweer's commitment to partnering with the world's best on all fronts."
The 360,000 sq feet boutique hotel will boast a rooftop restaurant and a three-meal casual dining outlet, in addition to an expansive ballroom.
The Hotel will target top-tier clientele with its 90 suites and 14 bungalows, in sizes varying from 1,600 to 9,500 sq feet, as well as one of Dubai's most exquisite spas and a 10,000 sq feet oasis-style swimming pool.
Guy Savoy said: "I feel privileged for the opportunity to have my first restaurant in the region at The Tiger Woods Dubai.
"I am excited at the prospect of being located in such a vibrant and strategic city, and I look forward to adding to Dubai's growing reputation as a gastronomic hub."
Scheduled for completion in 2009, The Tiger Woods Dubai will additionally host a professionally-staffed golf academy, a 145,000 sq ft clubhouse, a high-end destination spa, 22 palaces, 75 mansions, 100 luxury villas, and premium community service facilities. - TradeArabia News service
