Top designers to attend DFW grand finale

Isla Moda, a project by Dubai Infinity Holdings, and title sponsors for Dubai Fashion Week (DFW), will be hosting the grand finale of the event on March 22.
The finale of the fashion week will be graced by two renowned designers Neeta Lulla from India and Walid Atallah from Lebanon.
“Having the two prestigious designers as a part of our grand finale really raises the event to another level. Both Neeta and Walid have established themselves as fashion icons and it’s a great honor to have them here in Dubai. They are perfect examples for the emerging talent that we have and their presence here will really provide a spark of encouragement,” said CEO, Dubai Infinity Holding, Samira Abdulrazzak.
Neeta Lulla will be showcasing a women’s cnly collection based on various facets of immortal love. Her collections are known for their glamour and style across runways as well as on the silver screen globally, Lulla’s collection will be themed ‘I love you a little more than usual’.
She has won accolades on a national and international level and has brought her style onto some of the biggest celebrities. Along with bringing perfection as a designer, Lulla is also a teacher, artist, wife and mother and is looked upon as a role model to young women.
“Dubai has really seen a huge change in the past years in every aspect. The fashion industry in Dubai has matured and has a very bright future. Many designers from Middle East are making a strong impact,” said Lulla, who recently received global acclamation for her work in the epic Indian film Jodhaa Akbar.
“It feels great to be a part of Dubai Fashion Week for the first time and am looking forward to displaying my collection.”
Walid Atallah who graduated in fashion designing from the University of Chicago made his first mark when he presented his first fashion show in Dubai in 1996. Forty shows later, Atallah had made a presence in various part of the Middle East.
Atallah then took his collections to Italy and France where he was rewarded as “International Designer” by the French Association of Fashion Designers. Holding a long list of accomplishments, Atallah is also the first designer to use diamonds and precious stones as an integral part of his designs.
“I am very proud of where I come from and to see the fashion industry developing with great quality in the region is a tremendous feeling. Although I am excited about my collection during the event, I am also looking forward to seeing what the other designers have to offer especially the young talent. This is the perfect platform for them and I am in full support of them,” said Atallah.
The Isla Moda Dubai Fashion Week will showcase the collections of 31 local and regional designers from March 19 to 22 at the Godolphin Ballroom in Jumeirah Emirates Towers. Dubai Fashion Week is a trade event that aims to stimulate the fashion design industry in the region by bringing together designers, buyers and media. – TradeArabia News Service
