Experts discuss water conservation

Water conservation and new water technologies topped the agenda of an international water conference, which began in Bahrain today.
The 8th Gulf Water Conference and Exhibition is being held under the patronage of Prime Minister Shaikh Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa at the Gulf Hotel's Gulf International Convention and Exhibition Centre.
The four-day event is being held under the theme: 'Water in the GCC... towards an optional planning and economic perspective.'
The Water, Science and Technology Association is organising the event with the support of the Electricity and Water Authority and the GCC General Secretariat.
The opening address will be by Works Minister and Minister in Charge of Electricity and Water Authority Fahmi Al Jowder.
The event will be a platform for water technology and trade experts from all over the world.
It will allow decision makers to discuss the latest in water, energy and environmental technologies. Water strategies, planning, economics; natural water resources, non-conventional resources and awareness, conservation and capacity building will be discussed.-TradeArabia News Service
