Arabian horses to hog limelight at Jordan show

Amman, February 17, 2008

Renowned photographer Tariq Dajani will exhibit his work on Arabian horses in Jordan in March.

Titled ‘ASIL’, signifying purity, nobility and authenticity, the exhibition will present a photographic style rarely seen in Jordan, with some large, almost life-like prints, the organiser said in a statement.

The horses featured in the exhibition were photographed in Jordan over a period of a few weeks in 2006 and 2007. All of them are pure-bred Arabians, from champion show stallions of the Royal Jordanian Stables of Princess Alia Al Hussein to hard-working endurance horses from privately-owned stables, it added.

Tariq, the winner of the prestigious International Color Awards for Photography, Fine Art category, has exhibited his work in Europe in both solo and group shows.

His work will be showcased for the first time in the Middle East at Zara Centre from March 16–31. – TradeArabia News Service
