Riffa Views begins tree planting road show
Manama, February 13, 2008
Ten trees were planted at four Bahrain schools today as part of The Riffa Views Tree Planting Initiative.
Riffa Views CEO Richard Browning and Sales & Marketing Director Hugh O’Shea were present at each school as part of a road show that involves visiting over 50 schools for the planting of more than 80 trees, the company said in a statement.
The Indian School, St Christopher’s School (Isa Town), Shaikh Isa Bin Ali Al Khalifa Commercial Secondary Boys School and the Hope Institute for Special Needs were the first group of schools visited as part of this environmental road show, it added.
Browning and O’Shea were welcomed by the school’s team of young talented pupils that participated in the Eden Challenge competition together with the schools’ principal and staff members.
“It was great to see the excitement on the children’s faces when the trees were being planted. We have committed to plant the same number of trees onsite at Riffa Views, in the hope that these will act as a permanent reminder to everyone who visits the Estates about the importance of our environment,” said Browning. – TradeArabia News Service
