Qanat Al Qasba to host food fest

Qanat Al Qasba, the premier family entertainment and cultural destination of the UAE is getting revved up for yet another popular event with 'Food Fest 2008.'
Organised for the second consecutive year, the Qanat Al Qasba Development Authority that has scheduled the event from March 20 to April 5, has invited all restaurants and F&B outlets to participate in the one of the most 'looked forward to food event' of the year.
Dina Al Nakhi, events manager at Qanat Al Qasba Development Authority, said, “Al Qasba Food Fest 2008 is not just about exploring food issues and diverse cultures through their food but also about experiencing new tastes. This event is being planned out in such a way that it will be unique and interesting experience for all.'
“We have invited all restaurants and F&B outlets to take part under categories of traditional food of different countries, home made food, nutrition food, organic food, ice cream, sweets and kitchen tools.'
She said the Al Qasba Food Fest 2008 would prove to be a great opportunity for existing retail outlets to promote their products, as well as serving as a platform for introducing new products in the market.
'As we are targeting all nationalities and age groups through the many activities tailored to suit them, a wide representation of various communities living in Sharjah as well as other emirates are expected to turn out in large numbers at the Food Fest,' Al Nakhi said.
“Participating outlets have the option of either renting a kiosk provided by QAQ, or rent a space to bring in their own branded kiosks. A mega media campaign will be launched and all facilities and any requirements of the participants will be met by QAQ to make this event a truly spectacular one,” she said.
“The event is undoubtedly one that is about celebrating food, and as per the QAQ tradition, we are working on providing the best family friendly ambiance at Al Qasba Food Fest 2008 this time,” she added.
The festival will encompass the characteristics of a true family event. With a host of spectaculars such as entertainment shows, food workshops, kiddies’ shows and a carnival, the festival will bring the best of food for all.-TradeArabia News Service
