Elton John to perform in Abu Dhabi

Celebrated British singer and songwriter Sir Elton John will perform live in concert in Abu Dhabi today, courtesy of du.

The UAE’s new telecom operator will be the main sponsors of the event at the Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi.

Du has already distributed 500 tickets to 250 du mobile users across the UAE based on the average of their spend over the past three months.

“This is a great opportunity for music enthusiasts in the UAE to experience the one and only Sir Elton John live in concert.  Adding life to life is what we do and this opportunity promises to be a unique experience for the UAE,” said vice-president, Corporate Communications, du, Hala Badri.

A former student of the Royal Academy of Music in London, England, Elton John, (born Reginald Kenneth Dwight in 1947), left school and immediately embarked on his career in the music industry. Three decades since the 1969 release of his first album, ‘Empty Sky’, Elton John is still turning out some of the finest music of his career.

The du customer base is a rich mix of cultures and nationalities, with varied interests. In line with its commitment to add life to life and bring quality international entertainment to all customers in the UAE, du has also brought singers of the calibre of Justin Timberlake, with Asha Bhosle, Yesudas and S P Balasubramaniam to follow later this week in the Salaam India Show and Amr Diab shortly after that. – TradeArabia News Service
