Top photography exhibition at BurJuman

Dubai, December 2, 2007

French Fashion University Esmod has collaborated with BurJuman Shopping Centre and Saks Fifth Avenue to organise a Jean Paul Gaultier Photography Exhibition in Dubai.

The exhibition, which opened yesterday (December 1), will display images of the world-renowned fashion designer by photographer Jules Jarry at the BurJuman Shopping Centre, Dubai, till December 14.

Leading fashion house Saks Fifth Avenue has also contributed various garments from Gaultier’s latest fashion collection to be displayed alongside the exhibition, as part of BurJuman’s  ‘Art and Fashion’ festival: a two-week celebration featuring exhibitions, fashion shows, haute couture designer showcases, and photographic displays.

“Dubai is quickly establishing a name for itself as one of the world’s new fashion capitals, which is why we have an obligation, as the UAE’s only fully dedicated fashion education provider, to promote greater awareness of international fashion styles and top names in this industry.  We have brought this specific exhibition over from France as generations of Esmod students around the world have ended up working for Gaultier, not to mention other famous stylists such as Dior, Saint-Laurent, Kenzo, Paco Rabanne, Givenchy and more,” said Tamara Hostal, director, French Fashion University Esmod.

“We are expecting another fruitful collaboration with BurJuman, as the mall is the home of international fashion in Dubai and is in line with our goals of enhancing fashion awareness and appreciation,” Hostal added.

French Fashion University Esmod is currently accepting students for the start of the new academic year that begins in January 2008, with several new courses and programmes, which are designed to cater to full-time and part-time students.

With 20 branches throughout the world, French Fashion University Esmod is the exclusive French fashion institution in the UAE; with more than 70 students from 18 countries currently learning French fashion delicacies under the supervision of specialised French fashion teachers. -Trade Arabia News Service
