Asia Pacific Catering 2008 attracts top firms

Dubai, October 23, 2007

Places are rapidly being booked for Asia Pacific Travel Catering 2008.

This follows the news that the International Travel Catering Association (ITCA) and the International Flight Services Association (IFSA) plan to join forces for the first in a series of combined events for the Asia Pacific region in 2008.

The show is set to take place alongside Asia's premiere Food, Catering & Hospitality exhibition, Food&HotelAsia (FHA) from April 22 to 25, 2008.

In response to industry demand, Asia Pacific Travel Catering 2008 is being held in April to ensure that the IFSA and ITCA events are evenly distributed throughout the year and does not coincide with other industry exhibitions.

Asia Pacific Travel Catering 2008 will showcase food, beverages, amenities, equipment and systems for the whole travel catering sector, in the air and on the ground. The show is also is proud to be exclusively supported by the world's industry associations, IFSA and ITCA who have joined forces to organise one, focused industry event in the region, said an official spokesman.

This is being seen as a hugely positive move forward for the industry and also recognises the feedback received from membership of both associations.

'We are delighted to be able to combine our two programmes to offer the region a wonderful opportunity to come together in a single event which we believe will be very attractive to airlines, rail and shipping companies, caterers and suppliers,' said president of ITCA said of the IFSA/ITCA Asia Pacific Conference 2008 David Young.

Asia Pacific Travel Catering 2008 will be co-located with Allworld Exhibitions' flagship show, FHA 2008 which is spread over seven halls of the Singapore Expo and attracts a staggering 37,000 trade only visitors over four days, a significant portion of which are travel industry buyers.

Asia Pacific Travel Catering 2007 in Bangkok attracted 1,700 dedicated airline, rail and cruise trade visitors and was held in conjunction with the hugely successful ITCA Asia Pacific Conference.

The conference attracted over 200 international delegates and focused on 'Productive Growth - Environmental Sustainability'.
