DCA joins AskDubai service

The Department of Civil Aviation – Dubai (DCA) has joined the AskDubai service, said the Dubai eGovernment.

AskDubai is an initiative that facilitates interaction between the government and public through a single point of contact.

Through the AskDubai call centre, the public can enquire about various services offered by the Department of Civil Aviation –Dubai, in addition to enquiring about flight details, car parking at Dubai International Airport, career opportunities at DCA and weather conditions.

Ghanim Al Falasi, vice president, IT Unit, Department of Civil Aviation – Dubai, said: “We are pleased to join Dubai eGovernment’s AskDubai initiative since it presents a reliable channel to the public through which they can access the services of several government departments in Dubai. We are extremely impressed with the quality of service offered by the agents of the AskDubai contact centre, a factor that is crucial while attending to Dubai’s cosmopolitan population.”

AskDubai is a unified, bilingual contact centre connecting to government departments in Dubai through multi channels including a call centre, internet chat, e-mail and fax. It integrates key features of Customer Relationship Management, which has become a crucial component in many IT-enabled customer care services. AskDubai utilises industry-leading technologies that ensure each call gets immediate attention from an agent or an automated voice response system.

Government agencies that have already joined the AskDubai service include, Dubai Police, Dubai Municipality, Department of Economic Development, Dubai Land Department, Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Department of Health and Medical Services, Dubai Airport Free Zone Authority, Dubai Civil Defence, Awqaf and Minors Affairs Foundation (AMAF), and Dubai Development Board.
 
Customers may use different communication channels that AskDubai offers. They can call AskDubai on 7000 40000 or use the fax number 043303399 or interact with dedicated call centre agents through the portal https://askdubai.dubai.ae or through the email channel at help@dubai.ae. More than 500,000 phone calls were answered, and more than 11,000 emails were received by AskDubai till July 2007, said a statement. –TradeArabia News Service
