Trade Arabia integrates Gulf Industry Magazine

Manama, June 24, 2007

TradeArabia.Com, the business news and information portal of Al Hilal Group, has completed the integration of Gulf Industry Magazine's online version, www.gulfindustryonline.com, within the site's industry section.

The integration was driven by the need to deliver valuable editorial and business information to both www.gulfindustryonline.com and Trade Arabia visitors and premium content subscribers 24/7 considering the fast-paced developments taking place in various industrial spheres in the Middle East.

According to Rana Lababidi, Al Hilal Group's online media manager, the integration will provide new channels to access more trade news and relevant business information for a much broader perspective on the state of industrial advancements within the region.

“With Trade Arabia and Gulf Industry magazine users on top of our priority, this integration will ensure superior and efficient delivery of business information and solutions resulting in a constructive collaboration,” said Lababidi.

Visitors and subscribers will both receive up-to-date news as part of the portal service and featured industry articles from the trade magazine.

Lababidi said the move was aimed to deliver a new level of business news and information service that is required to meet today's market changes and emerging opportunities.

The Bahrain-based TradeArabia.Com is the region's leading business news and information portal which feature latest tenders, reports on various projects, comprehensive directory listing of thousands of companies in the Middle East, market analysis, stock market reports, an extensive archive and  up-to-the hour business news postings.

The site also represents an all encompassing repository of Al Hilal Group's editorial knowledge and excellence across the more than 22 market sectors.

Trade Arabia develops partnership with its clients by allocating online presence through advertising, channel sponsorships as well as content syndication.

Portal visitors and subscribers can now access Gulf Industry magazine's highlighted articles and features that include shipping and logistics; marketing and promotion; instrumentation and process systems; hi-tech industries; free zones; tools for the industry; Sharja Focus; waste management and environment among others.

The magazine's digital treasure trove will give Trade Arabia greater editorial depth and a sharper focus on the region's industrial strides.

The magazine is one of the several Al Hilal Group's monthly trade publications with online presence.

Lababidi is optimistic that the integration will translate into increased traffic to the portal and a much higher web exposure for the Gulf Industry magazine.

“Integration” seems to be the buzz word with competition on business information and news portal service heating-up. It requires leveraging what already exist, and adding functionality as required. This is the changing nature of portal management that is centered on using existing application and user interfaces. This change has driven Trade Arabia and Gulf Industry magazine to consolidate and position themselves at the forefront of the stiff portal service competition.TradeArabia News Service
