Coca-Cola launches ‘Share a Coke’ campaign
BEIRUT, December 22, 2014
The Coca-Cola Company launched the infamous personalised brand campaign recently known as ‘Share a Coke,’ inviting people to enjoy the soft drink with friends and family.
The launch event took place at Junkyard Beirut and was attended by many celebrities and media personalities who came to celebrate Coca-Cola’s biggest personalised brand campaign ever along with Lebanese entertainers, said a statement.
For the first time across Levant and Gulf countries, the campaign sees the Coca-Cola logo substituted with common and popular Lebanese first names and nicknames on cans of Coca-Cola.
Antoine Tayyar, public affairs and communications director, Coca-Cola Middle East, said: “We are very excited about the campaign and are totally committed to ensuring that the Coca-Cola culture of happiness is successfully celebrated within the Lebanese community. Coca-Cola is all about spreading happiness and is our way of contributing to a more viable community by fostering innovation across our business, and creating shared value for everyone we touch, as is the case in the 207 countries where we do business. It’s something we’re passionate about and committed to for the long-haul in Lebanon.
“The festive season is the perfect time to get together with others and share moments of happiness over an ice-cold Coca-Cola at family and friend reunions, sporting events, outings and other gatherings. Now, enjoying a Coke with ones’ name on it and sharing the occasion with someone else makes these moments even more special.”
The campaign was devised to encourage Lebanese consumers to enjoy a ‘Coca-Cola moment’ with friends: the personalised cans making unique, collectible gifts for others, sparking conversations, or being something that named individuals can enjoy with pride.
The campaign is also alive in popular streets, universities and malls allowing fans to customise their coke cans and sharing with someone in their lives. - TradeArabia News Service
