RIYADH, Saudi Arabia, September 2, 2014

Decofair, Saudi Arabia’s premium international furniture and interior design show, has announced the top international interior design brands participation in the event.

Organised by Reed Sunaidi Exhibitions, the sixth edition of the show will take place from November 10 to 13 at the Jeddah Centre for Forums and Events.

The show will cover nine key sectors: furniture, furnishings, flooring, accessories, lighting, textiles and soft furnishings, outdoor furniture, kitchen and bathroom products and design and architectural services.

Decofair is set to offer local, regional and international design suppliers, manufacturers and service providers business development and networking opportunities under a unique business matching programme via the ‘Decofair 2014 Hosted Buyer Programme’. The programme is a priority business service that matches a buyer’s sourcing requirements with exhibitor products and services.

Saudi Arabia’s furniture demand is expected to grow by 14 per cent to 2017, with current furniture imports valued at $2.2 billion. Decofair is best placed to cater to this growing demand, bringing together premium products and services from around the world and connecting them with Saudi’s top industry professionals and interior design buyers, said a statement.

Over 20 countries will be represented at this year’s show, a substantial increase on last year’s international presence. Confirmed international brands and country pavilions include exhibitors from the UK, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Turkey, the UAE, Egypt and Malaysia.

Leading US-based design association IIDA will continue their support for Decofair as strategic design and knowledge partner.

World-renowned international brands participating this year include Vondom (Spain), Fatboy, Scavolini, DG Mosaic, Asdi Italian Chair District (Italy), Dogtas (Turkey), Jotun, Hansgrohe, Jacuzzi, Art Ceram, Swarovski, Gautier, Volga Linen and  William Garvey Bespoke Furniture among others.

Naomi Barton, international sales and marketing director, Reed Sunaidi Exhibitions, said: “We are delighted to see so many international brands coming back to the show, as well as welcoming many brands who have confirmed their participation for the first time. Decofair is now widely-recognised as the most credible and influential interior design show in Saudi Arabia, and our sixth edition is even more focused on connecting exhibitors with the growing business design community in the kingdom.”

Additionally, this year’s Decofair Student Design Display will offer students from the kingdom the opportunity to display their most creative work to an international audience of industry professionals celebrating, supporting and nurturing Saudi Arabia’s best young design talent.

Over 13,000 visitors including architects, designers, specifiers, consultants, contractors, distributors, hospitality professionals and high net-worth individuals from the kingdom are expected to attend Decofair 2014, looking to source mid to high-end interior and exterior products and suppliers for their residential, commercial, hospitality and retail projects. – TradeArabia News Service
