Yas Mall, the leading shopping, dining, and entertainment destination in Abu Dhabi, announced today the three finalists who made their way to the final round of ‘Design your way to the Runway competition.

The announcement comes ahead of Yas Mall Fashion Week, which is set to kick off next week on October 12.
 
The process was anything but easy for head judge Reem Acra, internationally renowned fashion designer, to select the top three designers from a shortlist of 10 that followed initial round of applications.
 
The three shortlists are: Shamsa Al Mazrouei, who began her career in 2001 and launched her collection Bonn Dana, Emirati dresses themed with the conservative spirit of the past. Kateryna Nechyporenko, the Ukrainian who lives in the UAE and is currently a proud Concept and Spatial Designer at one of the furniture stores in the country. And Pakistani-UAE-based fashion designer Arshia Khan, who has the exquisite label "Arshys" that brings together contemporary chic alongside timeless classic elegance in her signature pieces.
 
They will showcase their collections on the catwalk in front of a highly influential visiting audience on October 12 as part of the four-day fashion extravaganza.
 
The winning designer will be awarded with a trip to a leading fashion destination by Etihad Airways and with an opportunity to display their collection at Tyrano, the premium department store featuring a remarkable mix of categories from prominent international and regional brands. Additionally, Yas Mall has arranged for an exclusive photoshoot for the winner’s collection with an ITP fashion publication.

Yas Mall Fashion Week will open with a spectacular concert from Lebanese superstar Ragheb Alama, followed by an incredible catwalk line-up that features 12 runway shows by the biggest fashion brands, including Tryano, Esposa, Ted Baker, House of Fraser, Hoss Intropia, Maje, Debenhams and bebe, among others. Styles chosen from all over the world will be worn by gorgeous models who will unveil the stunning new fall and winter collections. Moreover, Make-up Forever and Esthetic Sense will provide hair and beauty styling throughout four days, alongside display of their latest product range.
