Fashion stylists, beauty gurus and wedding planners will come together to be part of the largest festival presenting the wedding industry in the Gulf.

 

My Wedding Party will take place from March 15 to 18, 2017, at the Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre.

 

The event offers promotional opportunities to global specialists in wedding planning, venues, honeymoon destinations, bridal and groom wear, jewellery, hair and makeup, abaya designs, florists, photographers, entertainment and catering. 

 

The four-day event features fashion shows by international designers in bridal and evening dresses including a series of workshops on makeup, hairstyling and fashion tutorials by some of the world’s most celebrated specialists in this field. 

 

The event also includes competitions with award categories including: Designer of the Year for Bridal Couture Award, Best Jewellery Award, Wedding Planner of the year Award, Best Wedding Venue in the GCC, Best Stylist Award for Hair and Makeup Artists.

 

In addition to the products and services, My Wedding Party will provide consulting sessions to visitors on skincare, beauty regimes, and bridal options to suit your style and guidance counselling for soon-to-be newlyweds on married life.

 

Arab culture has been the main inspiration behind the event’s logo. “The logo’s design stems from Arabic calligraphy, based on a shape of heart in gold and silver colours in order to embody the timeless ties between marriage and love. The heart shape is the Arabic word for marriage “zawaj”. The violet colour was added to symbolise the spirituality and holiness of the institution of marriage,” says Andre Bigg, creative director of organisers Hilal Conferences and Exhibition (HCE). 

 

“The initial feedback has been very exciting. Our goal is to deliver a festival, a party atmosphere which takes the strain that usually comes with the process of planning your wedding,” says Jubran Abdulrahman, managing director of HCE.

 

My Wedding Party has already received support of major media partners including Gulf Daily News, Gulf Weekly, Woman This Month, Bahrain This month and Seef Life Magazine.
