Officials at the signing ceremony

Nortal, Al Maskari to offer technology expertise in UAE

UAE, July 10, 2018

Estonia-based Nortal, a multinational strategic change and technology company, and Al Maskari Holding (AMH) have signed a cooperation agreement to introduce Nortal’s unique solutions in the UAE.

Nortal has unique experience in creating e-government and business solutions, with strategic approach and data-driven technology.

Nortal is a company known for building roughly a third of Estonia’s e-government solutions, helping to transform Estonia into a global digital leader, said a Nortal statement.

Among other projects, the company played a substantial role in helping create an acclaimed tax solution for Estonia that ranked as the most competitive tax system in the OECD according to a Tax Foundation report.

Mohamed Al Maskari, Al Maskari Holding’s director of government affairs, said: “To support the UAE Vision 2021, we are proud to partner with Nortal to bring their unique experience and expertise in driving digital transformation to the UAE.”

“Nortal stands apart from other solution providers, not just in their track record of successful projects, but also through their organisation’s values, which place respect and trust as the cornerstones of its stakeholder relationships,” he said.

Al Maskari continued: “Estonia is considered the most advanced digital society in the world. At the core of its e-government initiatives, is the integration of innovation and technology into public sector systems and services.”

“This disruptive approach has enabled the evolution of traditional government solutions and set the global standard for aspiring economies. This is evident in Dubai’s annual World Government Summit, which emphasizes how these positive changes can benefit and unite humanity,” he added.

Priit Alamäe, chief executive officer and founder of Nortal, said: “We are honoured to partner with Al Maskari Holding, one of the most reputable groups in the UAE to bring our expertise and know-how from around the world to the UAE in close collaboration with Al Maskari Holding.”

“We are looking forward to contributing to the UAE’s ambitious plans that benefit Emiratis,” added Alamäe.

In the UAE, the company is proud to have consulted the Dubai government regarding the Smart Dubai 2021 vision. The vision Nortal helped set up for Dubai states that, by 2021, all public services would be available via electronic channels around the clock, and the Dubai government will work 24/7 and 365 days a year.

There will be no need to visit any government service centre in person; users will receive the results and documentation of services in electronic form on mobile devices.

Nortal has been operating in the GCC region since 2009. Among other projects, Nortal is behind the renowned business e-portal “Invest Easy” that was named among the top five best government-to-business (G2B) solutions in the world by reputable Global Enterprise Registration (GER.co) rating, it stated. – TradeArabia News Service
