Paladion announces AI-driven threat detection

DUBAI, June 13, 2018

Paladion, a global leader in cyber defence solutions, has announced fully integrated AI-Driven Managed Detection and Response (MDR) Services at the recently held Gartner Security & Risk Management Summit 2018.

Targeted artificial intelligence (AI) from Paladion now supports security experts for faster, more accurate, more effective threat anticipation, security analytics, and response actions. The new-generation high-speed cyber defence powered by Paladion’s AI.saac platform lets human security experts defend against the increasing volume and diversity of cyber threats.

Paladion CEO Rajat Mohanty said: “We now live in a world where data breaches are inevitable. The role of cyber defence is to prevent where possible, but otherwise to detect, contain, and recover as fast as possible and with as little damage as possible. AI and human experts working together are the solution.”

Paladion’s fully integrated AI-driven Managed Detection and Response services uses Paladion’s patent pending AI platform AI.saac and its 1,000+ globally located team of human security experts to ensure cyber defence for customers across their entire IT stacks. The unified application of AI on all data defends against blended threats and other modern menaces, protection that older silo-oriented approaches cannot offer.

“Traditional SIEM-based security monitoring cannot analyze the big data of modern cyber-attacks fast enough. It also misses the big picture, by failing to detect complex, targeted, or unknown attacks, said Mohanty. “Paladion’s industry-leading response has been to evolve beyond SIEM and build a truly comprehensive MDR service powered by our next-generation AI platform—AI.saac.”

Today, Paladion’s AI.saac offers the first fully integrated platform to support “left-of-hack-to-right-of-hack” cyber defence services. Services of threat anticipation, threat hunting, and security monitoring (before possible compromise or “left-of-hack”) are all enhanced. So, too are incident analysis, incident response, and breach management (after possible compromise or “right-of-hack”). The AI.saac platform delivers high-speed detection by deploying comprehensive techniques that include supervised, unsupervised, and deep learning, as well as natural language processing (NLP).

“Paladion’s MDR services use the best of both worlds – AI and human expertise – to first anticipate, hunt for, and prevent attacks from breaching customer systems. From there, if a security incident still occurs, Paladion quickly analyzes levels of threat impact and priorities for customers, rapidly responds to attacks affecting customers, and recovers customer systems from the breach— before business suffers,” added Mohanty.

Actions that previously took hours, days or even weeks before, can now be accomplished in minutes or less. AI.saac can sift through billions of terabytes at speeds that other security platforms cannot match. Paladion’s next generation global security operations centres (SOCs) leverage AI.saac to detect, understand, and eliminate threats, repulsing attackers before they can turn breaches into catastrophes. With appropriate customer authorization, AI.saac can even automate response to known threats for near real-time network protection.

Paladion combines this AI-driven defence with its large, global pool of cyber security experts into a “low noise, high-touch service”. The hybrid AI-human intelligence approach is adapted to each customer’s specific needs, enhancing the strength, speed, and efficiency of each unique customer security posture.

Mohanty continued: “Some security providers have been scrambling to layer off-the-shelf AI onto what are essentially yesterday’s security services. However, effective AI-driven security needs more if it is to truly combat today’s evolving AI-driven cyber threats. Paladion’s AI-driven MDR service has been designed from the ground up to be powerful, effective, adaptable, and scalable, combining the best in advanced technology and human security expertise. It is also available to customers at only a fraction of the cost of building their own solution.”

The Gartner Security & Risk Management Summit offers the latest research and recommendations to help organizations transform their security strategy and build resilience across the enterprise. This year’s event delivers leading-edge thinking on key topics such as agile architectures, business continuity management (BCM), cloud security, privacy and securing IoT. – TradeArabia News Service
