Du, Viafone to develop loyalty solution

DUBAI, November 19, 2017

Dubai-based telecom provider du has partnered with leading technology provider in loyalty solutions ViafoneTechnologies to develop an innovative loyalty platform that can improve customer service and retention by ten times.

The partnership announcement follows Viafone’s successful participation in the second round of the Dubai Future Accelerators (DFA) and is in line with Viafone’s participation in the DFA third cycle cohort.

The aim of this cycle is to encourage the creation of innovate digital products that are convenient to use, and overall one that will drive the loyalty quotient. With the app, customers will be able to interact, make decisions about purchases and control their experiences with all the vendors in one place, within a channel that is text and voice driven.

“We are pleased to be working with Viafone technologies to bring about an innovative loyalty solution that will add value to our customers,” said Samer Geissah, vice president, Innovation at du.

“In line with the recent UAE Artificial Intelligence strategy announcement by His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, we are already able to support our government in its Vision for 2021 and beyond.

“Our association with the Dubai Future Accelerators gives us the agility to bring innovative solutions to our customers today. We believe that this platform needs guidance towards unification as loyalty will move forward to a centralised carrier centric system, where user’s mobile and identity will play a key role in loyalty systems,” he added.

Viafone, over the course of the next few weeks, will utilise its proven experience in market in conjunction with its technology and loyalty solutions, to develop an interactive loyalty proposition for du and its customers, with the goal to improve the company’s customer experience and value proposition.

Souffiane Houti, CEO of Viafone Technologies, said: “Dubai Future Accelerators program provides an ideal platform for many companies, such as ourselves, to develop significant relationships and opportunities with market leading entities and further enhance our capabilities.

“We at Viafone recognize the privilege and unique opportunity we have in front of us to work with one of the region’s leading telecommunication companies, du, and really deliver something cutting edge when it comes to customer engagement and loyalty. During our time here at DFA, we want to go beyond the static and ordinary and develop something that truly engages customers, utilising new technologies and artificial intelligence.”

“We are very much looking forward to what Viafone Technologies brings to the table in this 3rd cohort at the DFA,” added Geissah. “Their proven experience and expertise in loyalty and technology is impressive and we are excited about the potential outcome and delivered solution that will come from their time at DFA”.

Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and the Chairman of Dubai Future Foundation under the directives of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Ruler of Dubai, created Dubai Future Accelerators in 2016 to make Dubai the birthplace for exponential technologies that will shape the course of humanity over the next century. – TradeArabia News Service
