SAUDI ARABIA, April 13, 2016

Waseela, a regional ICT company specialising in turnkey system integration and managed services, has successfully completed the delivery of a WiMAX/LTE Network Managed Services project for Samsung in Saudi Arabia.

The project for Samsung which began in 2010, lasted five years and completed on schedule at the end of 2015. Waseela, handled the turnkey network managed services of the advanced Mobile-WiMAX and TDD-LTE Network for Samsung in Saudi Arabia.

Commenting on the achievement, Waseela CEO Dr Samer Taha said: “The project marks the first big end-to-end managed services project for Waseela in Saudi Arabia. In fact, with the completion of this five-year project with Samsung, Waseela has delivered one of the largest and longest end-to-end network managed services projects across the whole Middle East region.”

By the end of 2015, the project covered a network of more than 2,000 sites of both Mobile-WiMAX and TDD-LTE technologies in addition to advance IP Core. However, to ensure the vast geographical area was covered, Waseela delivered field services by setting up five maintenance centers distributed across different areas in Saudi Arabia.

Waseela’s end-to-end services for the Samsung project included a 24/7 NOC (Network Operations Centre), field operations and maintenance, radio optimization, auditing of KPIs, and core network operation and maintenance as well. – TradeArabia News Service
