Al Othman, Avaya launch private cloud services
DUBAI, October 21, 2015
Saudi Arabia-based conglomerate Al Othman Holding is working with Avaya, a global leader in IT, to kick-off the first private cloud services model in the Eastern Province of the Kingdom.
The announcement was made at the ongoing Gitex Technology Week, a major IT show in Dubai. The event concludes tomorrow (October 22) at Dubai World Trade Center.
The private cloud service will help Al Othman’s businesses across the GCC and their customers in the Kingdom benefit from Avaya’s innovative business communications solutions in a subscription-based deployment model.
The ground-breaking agreement between Avaya and Al Othman-owned systems integrator, Systems of Strategic Business Solutions (SSBS), will make unified communications, video, and contact center solutions available As-A-Service to 19 Group-owned companies across the GCC.
The Avaya-powered Private Cloud Service offered by SSBS and Avaya will allow support for trends such as BYOD, social media, mobility, video collaboration and more, with minimal investment. Members will also have access to Avaya’s class-leading SDN Fx networking architecture.
The cloud market in Saudi Arabia is expected to perform strongly this year with IDC predicting it will reach $77.5 million in 2015, up 54 per cent from last year, as the Saudi ICT market continues to mature.
Avaya Private Cloud Services enable companies to create simple, dynamic environments that allow organizations to roll out new applications and services faster, support new devices, improve application uptime, and gain significantly reduced total cost of ownership (TCO) and better return on investment (ROI).
“The mobility and collaboration experiences that Avaya’s solutions offer are transforming team engagement and decision-making, enabling us to deliver real-time collaboration across a wide geographic area, and enhancing response times,” said AbdulRahman Al-Othman, sales and marketing director at SSBS.
“With Avaya Private Cloud Services, organizations can take away the trouble of finding the right technology partners, and address deployment and maintenance issues, while ensuring a very high level of services delivery.”
Mohammed Areff, vice president, Middle East, Africa, and Turkey, Avaya said: “The Middle East is learning to embrace cloud-based models, with Al Othman Holding leading aggressively on this trend. As disruptive technologies like mobility, social media, Cloud and Big Data challenge market dynamics, organizations in the Kingdom need to enhance the experiences they deliver to their customers.”
“Avaya Private Cloud Services can help save capital expenses, improve productivity and simplify transformation to the new cloud technology, making it the perfect solution for us to help continue enabling Al Othman’s effortless digital transformation and helping them to achieve their business outcomes today and in the future,” he added. – TradeArabia News Service
