Xoom Technologies, a UAE-based company that is set to market a product line of smartphones and tablets, has set up its headquarters in Dubai Internet City.

Hailed as a game changer in the world of mobile devices, Xoom said it plans to tap into international markets from its Dubai base.

“The revolutionary built-in mobile projection technology that we are launching globally is going to redefine handheld mobility as we know it. We strongly believe that Dubai as a global commercial hub is the ideal location to establish as a Launchpad for such an enterprise,” remarked Samir Saade, the chief executive officer.

“By redefining communication and gaming, we strive to enhance the way people live, work and play,” he stated.

According to Saade, the company will be developing superior technology and bringing it within everyone’s reach in terms of price and usage as far as unique applications are concerned.

"The Xoom product line is the world’s first set of mobile devices with built-in projection that will allow users to utilize laser projection technology to project mobile phone screen contents externally on any surface. The products are engineered utilizing a combination of licensed and proprietary patent pending hardware, firmware and applications," he stated.

Mustafa Saied, the chairman and founder of Xoom Technologies, said: "While the designs will be branded and promoted as an innovative range of smartphones and tablets, they will not be limited to built-in projection as the only innovation."
 
“The initial smartphone model, for example, sports a Kevlar outer shell, Gorilla Glass 4 screen, Harman Kardon sound system, and unique technology that extends battery life.  We are about innovation and cutting edge technology in all aspects of mobile devices,” he stated.

Xoom will be a major participant at the upcoming Gitex expo in Dubai.

The company will not only be introducing their cutting edge smartphone line, but offer an exclusive glimpse into the future of their product line to be introduced shortly, added Saied.-TradeArabia News Service
