DUBAI, July 5, 2015

Dubai-based leading telecommunications provider du said it is offering customers the best entertainment programing across all genres, categories and screens this Ramadan.

The award winning Islamic channel DIHQA (Dubai International Holy Quran Award) has returned to du TV on channels 10 and 653, and also made its debut on du View, giving customers the flexibility of watching the ceremony from any enabled mobile device, as well as their TV.

Customers can also access their favourite entertainment programming from the largest Arab Broadcast Networks, said the company in a statement.

Programming from OSN, MBC, Dubai Media Incorporated and Abu Dhabi Media Company is also available in HD, with du personal video recorder (PVR) capabilities allowing users to watch one programme while recording another.

All du TV customers can watch up to 200 Arabic movies as well as 150 first run TV episodes for free on du Movies On Demand, On Demand Club and du View, it stated.

The company has also announced that it has secured the rights to the very first run of highly anticipated television shows ‘Thahab wa awda’ and ‘Cello’ on broadcast and digital platforms for its viewers in the Middle East and North Africa (Mena) region.

Additionally, du has released three popular 2014 TV series; ‘Marvellous Stories from Quran’, ‘Ebn Halal’, and ‘What If’, for the first time on digital platforms.

Families and kids can enjoy newly released and classic Disney movies on du’s On Demand Club for free, available on both du TV and du View, ensuring the best entertainment for the entire family during Ramadan, the statement added.

Fahad Al Hassawi, the chief commercial officer, said: “Today’s viewers are mobile and expect to access their favourite content anywhere, not just at home, and following their own schedule.”

“At du we ensure that we offer all our customers the best television services by giving them control over their own viewing experience this Ramadan,” he added. – TradeArabia News Service
