Truecaller launches redesigned app for Windows Phone 8

AMMAN, April 23, 2015

Truecaller has launched a redesigned app for Windows Phone 8, while will support the company’s global mission to transform the phonebook with a new set of useful features to improve the communications experience.

Available to download in the Windows Phone Store, the upgrade is by far the company’s biggest advancement on Windows Phone to date, said a statement.

The new Truecaller makes it simple to filter out all the excess noise on the mobile device, while giving all the necessary tools to manage all communications needs.

Regardless of whether the user wants real-time spam detection, Cortana Voice Search, Live Tile notifications when they are being contacted, or the ability to search for relevant contact information or identify numbers, Truecaller for Windows Phone 8 goes well beyond what the native phonebook offers.

Nani Zarringhalam, co-founder and chief strategy officer of Truecaller, said: “We want to reinvent the communications experience for billions of consumers and solve a huge pain point for those who’ve suffered for far too long with annoying calls to their mobile phone.

“Thanks to a close partnership with Microsoft we have been able to make some groundbreaking features and greatly improve the Truecaller user experience. Our latest Windows Phone 8 update is the next step in a series of innovations we’re working on to bring more intelligent features to the global Windows Phone community.”
