Batelco launches datacentre infrastructure solutions
MANAMA, April 11, 2015
Bahrain’s leading telecom services operator Batelco said it has launched the datacentre infrastructure solutions (DIS) for its enterprtise custonmers in the kingdom.
DIS is designed to serve businesses requiring Information Communication Technology (ICT) solutions to support their efforts of process automation and ultimately, enhancing their competitiveness within their industries.
As a result of the rapidly changing environment, organisations can no longer afford to spend considerable time and capital to build nonstandard facilities. To support this, Batelco has introduced DIS with the objective of providing organisations with a world class, robust solution with built-in redundancy, reducing mean time to repair (MTTR).
DIS was designed and developed to address challenges in enhancing operational excellence by offering agile, efficient and simple solutions that are adaptable to changing business needs, said a statement from Batelco.
Minimising the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) in building a Datacentre is a critical differentiating factor, with as little as one per cent enhancement in energy efficiency translating into significant savings.
With many elements and variables to be included in building a Datacentre such as power, cooling, monitoring tools management and maintenance, the costs can dramatically increase. Batelco’s Datacentre Infrastructure Solutions are built and run by industry experts and guarantee businesses the most efficient setup and lowest TCO.
The introduction of DIS serves to expand Batelco’s existing ICT product portfolio, which includes some of the world’s most trusted partners who have maintained their reputation and brand leadership over many years. One example is Schneider Electric, who has deployed the best integrated Datacentre physical management for server rooms internationally.
Batelco’s Enterprise Division General Manager Adel Al-Daylami said that Batelco understands the requirements of enterprise businesses and with the launch of the Datacentre Infrastructure Solutions, addresses such key market needs of cost-effectiveness, scalability and reliability.
“Our solutions ensure optimum deployment speed in the most cost-effective manner enabling organizations to respond to future changes effectively and efficiently,” he added.-TradeArabia News Service
