Zain and du officials at the signing

Zain in partnership deal with datamena

MANAMA, March 13, 2015

Zain Group has announced a new collaboration with datamena, a UAE-based carrier neutral data centre and connectivity platform serving the Middle East and Africa region.

datamena is owned by Dubai-based operator du, said a report in the Gulf Daily News (GDN), our sister publication.

The collaboration was announced during the 10th edition of Capacity Middle East, an annual flagship event for the Middle Eastern and international carrier communities.

Through Zain's presence in datamena, Zain operations across the region will expand their global reach by interconnecting directly with various partners including other regional and international carriers, content and cloud providers, and enterprises.

Zain operations will benefit from infrastructure available in datamena, including the UAE Internet Exchange.

Zain Group is a member of the Middle East Europe Terrestrial System, which reaches into datamena and which will be connecting the GCC with high-speed fibre optics when it is launched later this year.

Zain joins more than 70 companies that have chosen to use datamena's platform. - TradeArabia News Service
