Etisalat, a leading telecom service provider in the UAE, has implemented the mobile near field communication (NFC) solution from Gemalto, a leader in digital security.

The Euronext NL0000400653 GTO solution will enable Etisalat’s staff to access its offices and facilities securely with a single tap of the employee’s mobile phone to a contactless reader, said a statement.

It demonstrates the potential applications of NFC technology in highly secure environments by integrating smart mobile services and trusted digital identities with daily operations, it said.

Furthermore, mobile NFC can be used for authorising and initiating office support tasks such as printing, scanning, and file sharing.

This will ensure document confidentiality while maintaining an efficient and seamless authentication process that assures the highest efficiency for the corporate daily operations.
